Description
Rocker cover sealing washers are a 2 part design with an oil resistant, high temperature Seal to stop oil leaks around the thread of the bolt and a preloaded Conical Washer to maintain the required clamping force on the rocker cover itself.
Kit Contains:-
18 x Rocker cover sealing washers
This kit replaces the old factory original washers which always lose their clamping force on the rocker cover. This is due to the old factory design washer using the rubber portion of the sealing washer to transfer the clamping force to the rocker cover. The standard rubber in the washer deteriorates over time which allows the clamping force on the rocker cover to relax, which in turn allows oil leaks to start at the rocker cover seal.
The new design of sealing washer not only seals the screw thread against oil leaks due to the oil resistant, high temperature rated materials used to make the Seal, but the Conical washer ensures a direct clamping force is applied to the rocker cover which is independent of the seals compression. This force is maintained over time as the conical washer is preloaded and designed to flex with changes in temperature.
1 Kit is enough to replace all washers on Front and Back rocker covers.
