As the 8th generation Galant and Legnum VR-4 get older, things start to fail. One reasonably common fault now appears to be with the Mass Air Flow sensor (aka MAF), which can result in poor running, lumpy idle, hesitation during acceleration etc.
Some people have diagnosed a fault with the MAF, and have suggested a fix which requires re-soldering a couple of components on the circuit board of the MAF. Whilst a relatively simple fix in some cases, we appreciate that not everyone has the necessary skills or equipment to undertake this attempt at repair.
So – this “product” is more of a service we offer – you send us your MAF, we will perform the re-soldering fix as described, and return it to you. We can not guarantee that it will resolve your issue, if this was not the underlying issue to begin with.
The price does not include any further diagnostics or tests.
